== Plot ==

''Isi Ka Naam Zindagi'' is a romantic family story set during the British Raj.

Bansiram (Pran) has owned and maintained a plot of land donated to him by a kind village aristocrat (Shakti Kapoor). After the aristocrat dies, his amoral son praises the enviable plot and wants it. Bansiram refuses to sell, and the son is determined to get it. Bansiram appeals to the British for protection, which they provide, and he is able to save his property.

Soon the son passes away; his look-alike son, Devraj, comes to manage the estate. Devraj does not consider Bansiram's land a priority, and years go by. The aristocrat's soul wanders and waits in anguish and pain. When Devraj goes to see Bansiram, he finds an elderly semi-senile man and his grandson, Chotu (Aamir Khan), who wants to produce alcohol on the land. Devraj takes advantage of the situation with unpredictable results.

==Synopsis==
Thakur is a wealthy, principled, and punctual man, who will not tolerate anything, even music in his palatial home. Thakur's only motto in life is money, and each and every second is spent on making and earning money. His elder son, Amar Kumar rebels against this, and is warned. But Amar does not heed this warning, and falls in love with a poor gypsy girl, Jyoti, and both elope in order to escape the wrath of his dad. Thakur second son, Pawan Kumar, is sent away abroad so that there are no lingering bad influences on his life. Years later, Pawan returns home, and is the exact cold-hearted and arrogant image as his dad. Amar and his wife give birth to a son, and Amar writes to his dad to forgive him. Shortly thereafter the couple pass away, leaving their son, with Jyoti's sister, Dilruba. Thakur decides to forgive his late son and asks Pawan to go and bring his grandson home. Pawan sets forth to get his nephew, with the help of MGM, and meets a host of less-than-fortunate people. His attitude does not get him anywhere with Dilruba and he is forced to assume another identity, that of Aashiq, to try and get his nephew home. He does succeed in pulling wool over Dilruba's eyes and both eventually fall in love with each other - little knowing that his dad has already planned his marriage with wealthy Meenakshi and if he refuses he may suffer the same fate as Amar.

Rahul and Saveen board the [[Sabarmati Express]] to meet her father Imran Jafri who lives in [[Ahmedabad]]. Before the couple reach their destination, the train is [[Godhra train burning|set on fire]] by a mob near [[Godhra Junction railway station]]. Escaping from the mob, they take refuge at the house of Payal, a journalist. The train burning sparks a [[2002 Gujarat riots|communal riot]]. Differences emerge between Rahul and Saveen while they try to protect themselves from the riot, eventually succumbing to it.

The filmmakers petitioned the [[Bombay High Court]] against the decisions of CBFC and FCAT as encroachment on the right to free speech and expression. Chandrachud]] viewed the film and reached the conclusion that the "theme of the film is the absolute insensibility of violence. Upon its release, ''Chand Bujh Gaya'' performed poorly at the box office. Rohit Murari wrote in his 3-star review for Fullhyd.com that the film "scores a few points - for its blatant honesty" and Sikander was the "best thing to have happened to the movie". ==Plot==
Amrita ([[Juhi Babbar]]) is the adopted daughter of Yashwant Raj Mankotia ([[Om Puri]]). Amrita was actually the daughter of late Yashwant Raj's friend. Yashwant has a son, Randeep Raj Mankotia ([[Sharad Kapoor]]) who is in Canada. Yashwant plans to get Randeep and Amrita married. Randeep does not want to go to India to visit his father. To make Randeep come to Yashwant pretends to have heart trouble. Randeep does not want to leave his business. He gets even more upset when he learns that he is going to marry Amrita. His father says if he does not accept the marriage all his property will go to Amrita. Randeep agrees to the marriage. After the wedding, Randeep and Amrita travel to Canada. When they go to Randeep's house, Amrita meets Simone ([[Saadhika]]), Randeep's business partner/spouse. Simone and Randeep humiliate Amrita and she runs away. Randeep gathers some men and orders them to find Amrita and kill her. Amrita then hides in the garage of Jay Kumar ([[Sonu Nigam]]) who befriends her. Daljit Brar [Dolly] (Ravee Gupta) is the daughter of Jay's boss and is jealous of the friendship between them so she fires Jay. Yashwant Raj misses Amrita so he goes to Canada to visit her. When Yashwant asks where Amrita is Randeep lies and says she has humiliated him by taking up alcohol. Yashwant doesn't believes this, he goes to find her and the truth. Afterwards he finds out that his son has not only disgraced Amrita but it fact doing illegal business of drugs with Simone. After a brawl Yashwant kills his son and he later discharged by the court, and he decides to go back home while blessing Amrita and Jay.

He is married to Bharati Malvankar Mangeshkar, daughter of Marathi comedian Damuanna Malvankar. They have two sons Aadinath and Vaijnath and a daughter [[Radha Mangeshkar|Radha]]. In 2009, Radha launched her debut album ''Naav Maaza Shaami''. Hridaynath debuted his music career in 1955 with the [[Marathi language|Marathi]] film ''Akash Ganga''. Since then, he has composed for various Marathi films such as ''[[Sansar (1971 film)|Sansar]], [[Chaani]], Ha Khel Savalyancha, Janaki, [[Jait Re Jait]], [[Umbartha]]'' and ''Nivdung'' and a few [[Bollywood]] films; the most notable among them being ''[[Subah]]'', ''[[Lekin...]]'' and ''[[Maya Memsaab]]''.<ref name="Padma"/>

He has been very selective with his work. He has composed songs in [[Marathi language|Marathi]] and [[Hindi]]. His songs often have complex meters and require singers of great range and depth for enjoyable renditions. His composition of [[Vinayak Damodar Savarkar]]'s poem ''[[Saagara Pran Talamalala]]'' is a case in point. His 1982 album ''Dnyaneshwar Mauli'', featuring compositions from [[Jñāneśvar]], one of the most famous poets in [[Marathi literature]], set the standard for modern devotional music in Marathi.{{citation needed|date=September 2015}}

He also composed music for Doordarshan musical drama ''[[Phoolwanti (TV Series)|Phoolwanti]]''.

He has also composed folk songs. Staying true to the spirit, his ''Koli Geets'' (fishermen songs) reflect the traditional rhythms of the fishermen of [[Konkan]]. His music to the critically acclaimed movie ''[[Jait Re Jait]]'' is another example of his prowess in this genre.
