Malayattoor Ramakrishnan was born on May 27, 1927 at Kalpathi, a village renowned for [[Kalpathi Ratholsavam]], near [[Palakkad]] in [[Malabar district]] of [[Madras Presidency]] of the [[British India]] to K.R.
