After returning to India in 2003, Singh followed the footsteps of his mother and grandmother [[Vijayaraje Scindia]] and joined the [[BJP]]. He won his very first election and was elected as a Member of Parliament in the year 2004, from the constituency of [[Jhalawar%E2%80%93Baran_(Lok_Sabha_constituency)|Jhalawar- Baran]] in [[Rajasthan]].<br />

In 2009 despite a congress wave, Singh won his second Loksabha Election. Over this period of time, Singh helped bring prosperity to his region through the medium of improved roads, better citywide infrastructure, and good governance. <br />
