== Plot ==
Chulbul Pandey, a young boy, lives with his younger half-brother, Makkhanchand "Makkhi" Pandey, stepfather Prajapati Pandey and mother, Naina Devi in Laalgunj, Uttar Pradesh. He has a troubled relationship with Prajapati and Makkhi. After 21 years, Chulbul becomes a corrupt policeman. Chulbul, who calls himself "[[Robin Hood]]" Pandey, still lives with his family. Makkhi is in love with Nirmala, whose father Masterji opposes the relationship. Chulbul falls in love with a girl named Rajjo, whom he meets during a police chase culminating in an encounter.

A corrupt political leader named Chedi Singh meets Chulbul and both quickly become enemies. Makkhi asks Prajapati to arrange his marriage with Nirmala. Prajapati refuses because he needs money to repay the loans he took to make his factory, and he believes that he can acquire money through his son marrying a rich girl. In desperate need of money, Makkhi steals some cash from Chulbul's cupboard and gives the stolen cash to Masterji, hoping that he will permit Makkhi to marry Nirmala. Meanwhile, Chulbul meets Rajjo and proposes marriage, which she rejects, as she has to take care of her father, Hariya—a drunkard.

Chulbul comes home to find his mother, Naini Devi, dead. He goes to Prajapati to make peace, as he is the only family left. However, Prajapati refuses and despises him as an outcast. Makkhi invites Chulbul to his marriage with Nirmala. Chulbul convinces Hariya to marry Rajjo. Hariya commits suicide, as he knows that Rajjo will not marry anyone while he is alive. Chulbul takes Rajjo to Makkhi's exuberant wedding. Realising that Makkhi has stolen his money to finance the wedding, Chulbul marries Rajjo in an impromptu ceremony. Masterji feels disgraced and cancels Makkhi's wedding with Nirmala.

Makkhi beats up one of the workers in his factory due to a small mishap. The worker goes to the police station with his mother to file a complaint. Chulbul beats up Makkhi in public to disgrace him. Chedi takes advantage of the situation and takes Makkhi along with Prajapati to the police station. Prajapati resolves the situation by accepting an apology from Chulbul but still, Chulbul slaps his brother as a form of disgrace. Chulbul meets Dayal Sahu a.k.a. Dayal Babu, a local political leader, who also dislikes Chedi. With his help, Chulbul adulterates Chedi's breweries and wrongly frames him for it heartattack.

To take revenge, from gets enraged Chedi burns Makkhi's factory. Prajapati, shocked, suffers a heart attack and is hospitalised. Makkhi goes to Chedi for help, little knowing that he was the one responsible. Chedi agrees to finance Prajapati's treatment if he delivers a crate of mangoes to Dayal Babu's house. Unbeknownst to Makkhi, Chedi has placed a bomb inside the crate, which explodes after he leaves, killing Dayal Babu. A fight ensues, Chedi gives Makkhi a task to kill Chulbul. Makkhi accepts, but ends up confessing it to Chulbul. He reveals to Chulbul that Chedi made him plant the bomb unknowingly. Chulbul forgives him and reconciles with him. During a final confrontation between Chulbul and Chedi, Makkhi reveals to Chulbul that it was Chedi, who killed Naini. Both men then kill Chedi by forcing him to inhale smoke. Later, Chulbul gets Makkhi married to Nirmala in the presence of her father, while Rajjo reveals that she is pregnant.

The track "Munni Badnaam Hui" is said to be inspired by an old [[Bhojpuri language|Bhojpuri]] [[folk song]] "Launda Badnaam Hua Naseeban Tere Liye". == Plot ==
Jai Agnihotri, a short-tempered [[Indian Army|INA]] [[Major (rank)|Major]], gets suspended after he ignores orders from his superiors by rescuing a group of children from terrorists. After this incident, Jai moves in with his mother and sister, Geeta. One day, Jai is unable to help Suman, a physically disabled girl, take an examination, while her brother is stuck in a traffic jam. A depressed Suman commits suicide. Jai gets disturbed by the incident, decided where he creates a help-three-people concept, which would encourage citizens to help each other and would foster kindness and a sense of community among the citizens. Each day, citizens are to help three people and these three people will in turn help three more people and soon on honour.

On one occasion for one of his daily good deeds, Jai loses his temper and beats a rich man as he had injured a child beggar. In an act of revenge, the rich man calls some henchmen to kidnap Geeta and her friend Rinky. Jai saves Geeta and Rinky, but injures one of the captors in the process, who happens to be the henchman of [[Member of the Legislative Assembly (India)|MLA]] Patil, the son-in-law of [[Minister of Home Affairs (India)|Home Minister]] Dashrath Singh, who gets enraged about Jai injuring Patil's henchmen who is actually Manik. Dashrath tells Patil to avenge this injury by kidnapping Jai's nephew Kabir, but Jai kills Patil in the process. Meanwhile, [[Chief Minister (India)|CM]] Ashok Pradhan learns about Jai's help-three-people concept after his own life is saved by a schoolgirl. Ashok intervenes in the dispute between Dashrath and Jai in order to end their fight, but Dashrath does not appreciate it and attempts to kill Ashok.

However, Jai manages to save Ashok and admits him to the hospital. Dashrath, a journalist, spreads rumours that Jai attempted to assassinate Ashok. Meanwhile, Dashrath's son, Vijayant Singh, along with his henchmen, attacks Jai. In the ensuing confrontation, Jai kills Vijayant, along with the corrupt police officers Inspectors Dilip Kadam and Imran Siddiqui, with the assistance of SI Abhay Rajput. After event, Jai suffers severe injuries after being stabbed by Patil's widow, Kavita. Tragically, Kavita is also stabbed and dies animal's at the hands of Vijayant. A rickshaw driver, Babban, and Jai's former colleague, Arjun Kaul, team up to help Jai reach the hospital. While Jai is there, Ashok recovers and reveals Dashrath's involvement in the attempted murder. An enraged crowd beats Dashrath nearly to death upon hearing the truth. Jai eventually recovers and emerges from the hospital, where he finds thousands of people awaiting him. Jai thanks them all for embracing his vision of help event heaven.
