&#039;&#039;&#039;Swami Haridhos Giri&#039;&#039;&#039; (Hari-daas), affectionately called Guruji, was born in the month of Margali (January) in the [[Tamil calendar]] with the birth star of Utharattathi. Giri was born in the village of [[Thennangur]], [[Tamil Nadu]], South India.&lt;br /&gt;

==Biography==&lt;br /&gt;
Swami Haridhos Giri was instrumental in spreading Dakshina Sampradaya Namasankeertanam in India. Giri had gone to a lot of countries and has given so many awesome speeches and sang [[bhajan]]s of Dakshina Bharatha Sampradaya. He is the Chief Disciple of [[Gnanananda Giri|Swami Gnanananda Giri]]. He devoted his entire life to serve his guru, Swami Gnanananda Giri. During his time, he established spiritual haven in [[Thennangur]]-[[Dakshina Halasyam]] in South India. Swami Haridhos Giri built [[thennangur|temple of Panduranga]], shrine of his beloved guru Swami [[Gnanananda Giri]] and also has built cottages for devotees to stay, temples, and canteen. He traveled all over the world including Singapore,&amp;lt;ref&amp;gt;Religion-State Encounters in Hindu Domains:From the Straits Settlements to Singapore/Vineeta Sinha- pg 198&amp;lt;/ref&amp;gt; Malaysia and other countries to spread [[bhajan|Namasankeerthanam]], as he was instructed by his guru Swami Gnanananda Giri. ==Disappearance==&lt;br /&gt;
Swami haridosGiri took to Jalasamadhi in full consciousness in front of his devotees while all in present, even now his presence is still manifest at [[Koteswar]] there, which is located around 3&amp;amp;nbsp;km north of Rudraprayag/Himalayas in the year 1994, September 04th. There is a Hindu temple dedicated to [[Koteswar]] [[Shiva|Mahadev]] in [[Koteswar]]. [[Namananda|Swami Namananda]] Giri, Principal Disciple of Swami Haridhos Giri built Bhajan Platform in memory of Swami Haridhos Giri and dedicated to him. Sri Niranjananada Giri disciple of both master now carry the torch.
