Born to Smt. Jasma Devi and [[Bhajan Lal|Ch. Bhajan Lal]] - Union Cabinet Minister (Agriculture; Environment & Forests) and three-time Chief Minister of Haryana - he graduated with a BA in Public Administration from [[Punjab University, Chandigarh|Punjab University]] in [[Chandigarh]].

He is married to [[Renuka Bishnoi]], who was a Member of Legislative Assembly from [[Hansi]] (Hisar district) in [[Haryana]]. He has three children - two sons and a daughter. ==Political career==

In October 2009, the party fielded candidates in 89 of the 90 constituencies for the state assembly elections and won six of those seats. Five of the six elected representatives defected and transferred their support to Indian National Congress in lieu of ministerial portfolios. He filed a case against the defectors in the court of law and won. The Punjab and Haryana High Court disqualified them as members of the Haryana Legislative Assembly.

In 2011, following the death of his father, HJC and [[BJP]] formed an alliance. The alliance was announced at a joint press conference addressed by BJP president Nitin Gadkari, party leader Sushma Swaraj, former Minister Prof. Ganeshi Lal, HJC co-founder Kuldeep Bishnoi. In 2016, after his meeting with the Congress vice-president [[Rahul Gandhi]], Kuldeep Bishnoi merged HJC (BL) with the Indian National Congress]. He is presently a Special Invitee to the [[Congress Working Committee]] (CWC) and was a campaigner for the Rajasthan Assembly elections in 2018.

== Early life ==
Mallika was schooled at the [[Modern School (New Delhi)|Modern School, Barakhamba Road]], [[New Delhi (Lok Sabha constituency)|New Delhi]]. Mallika is half-Saraiki and half-Tamil. The inspiration for her short videos on social media are from Delhi. Mallika is also a theater major from [[Franklin & Marshall College|Franklin and Marshall College]] in the US. Her advertising career started as a trainee at McCain Erickson and later at Contract Advertising.

Mallika's videos are satirical in nature depicting the harsh reality of the society with a dash of humour. She strongly believes in the cause of Feminism and uses her social networking platforms as a tool for women's empowerment and for also expressing her liberal ideologies and open-minded opinions on social causes and issues concerning women{{Citation needed|date=August 2018}}. Mallika has actively voiced her opinion against sexual harassment of women at workplace, casual sexism among others. She was also one of the pioneers of the social media movement [[Me Too (hashtag)|Me Too (Hashtag)]] where she was one of the first known faces to recount her own experience of being sexually harassed as a child to encourage her fan following (both men and women) to share their experiences as well and to stand up for the cause.
