==Plot==

Rajan ([[Mammootty]]) is successful in his job, but his family life is not so happy. His wife, Nalini, ([[Unnimary]]) aspires to receive a fellowship to [[Harvard University]] in the [[United States]], leaving behind her husband and child, Babumon. When his father, Madhavan ([[Balan K. Nair]]), a retired school teacher, is down with an ailment, Rajan, along with his family, returns to his ancestral home. Rajan's elder sister, Vishalam ([[Shubha (actress)|Shubha]]), younger sister, Seethalakshmi and husband Padmanabhan ([[Lalu Alex]]) also arrive to meet their father, as his health condition is serious. Madhavan's daughters and in-laws are busy in their own ways, as they don't wish to spend many days with their dying father. In his sickness, Madhavan expresses his wish to meet his niece, Ammukutty ([[Seema (actress)|Seema]]). Ammu arrives and takes care of her dying uncle. Madhavan's children except for Rajan leave as Ammu is there to look after their father. Rajan remembers his young days of romance with Ammu.

Rajan and Ammu wish to marry each other. Ammu, an elementary school teacher, encourages him and sponsors him to enroll for [[Master of Business Administration|Master's degree in Business Administration]] from the prestigious [[CUSAT|Cochin University]]. Rajan meets Anil Kumar ([[Mohanlal]]) at the University. Rajan secures a good job once he completes the course. But then, Rajan's boss Balachandran ([[Janardhanan (actor)|Janardhanan]]), who is Madhavan's disciple, wishes to marry his daughter Nalini to Rajan. Madhavan, in spite of knowing his son's and Ammu's love, insists that Rajan marry Nalini. Helplessly, Rajan obeys his father. Ammukutty desperately starts living alone separately in her house thereafter and continues her job.

Nalini goes to town from her ancestral home to attend her interview with Harvard University. Busy with his job, Rajan also wants to leave. Upon Ammu's request, he leaves his son with her. Babumon and Ammu become close and they spend those days happily.

Nalini passes the interview and is all set to go to the US. Knowing her son's relation with Ammu, she asks Rajan to bring Ammu as a servant to look after her son when she's away in the USA. Rajan tells her Ammu is the one who spent money for his higher studies. Nalini later tries to return the amount of money which Ammu spent for her husband. Ammu remorsefully shouts at her. Understanding his wife's fault, Rajan slaps her and reveals their unfruitful love story. Ammukutty later feels sorry for her words and advises Nalini.

Nalini repents for her rudeness and wishes to stay back in India with her family. But upon Ammu's insistence, telling not to lose a great opportunity, Rajan and Nalini unanimously decide to get Nalini to fly to the US for her fellowship. Madhavan's health slowly recovers. Rajan, Nalini and son happily go back, leaving Ammukutty again in her loneliness.

==Plot==

The story is set in a picturesque landscape in a village called "Krishnapuram". The two tharavadus (parentages) named Puthezhathu and Kizhakkedathu are situated in the same compound, and their members share a very great bonding with each other. The film begins with the celebration of [[Onam]] festival by the inmates of both the houses. Kizhakkedathu tharavadu's karanavar Krishna Warrier's eldest son Rajan is in love with one of the girls there but his marriage is fixed with Saraswathy ([[Lena (actress)|Lena]]), daughter of Sankaran Nair, the karanavar of Puthezhath family. Rajan and the girl elopes, and Saraswathy is later found dead in a quarry, apparently a suicide. Puthezhathu family believes that Kizhakkedathu family has cheated them, and thus they beat up Rajan, but Krishna Warrier comes to rescue him and also pulls him up on to the train, saying that he should never return. As years pass, Krishnanunni, the hero of the story, is born to Rajan.

Rajan, along with his wife and children, now lives in [[Tenkasi]] in [[Tamil Nadu]]. He is now indulged in agriculture. He is assisted by his son Krishnanunni. During a clash in the market, the local thief Kalidas is beaten by Krishnanunni/Kuttan and his friend Vadivelu/Pottan, and is sacked and taken back in a bullock cart. Unfortunately, Kalidas escapes from the sack by jumping into a canal. When Unni and Vadivelu come to know about this, they tell their gang to beat him. Unfortunately, the sack was changed, and it was Ayyappan Nair, the former Karyasthan of Kizhakkedathu family, who was under it. Ayyappan Nair tells Rajan about the impact caused by his elope and Saraswathy's death on the two families. Both are now sworn enemies, and they have built up walls around their homes. There also happened a lawsuit between them, in which Kizhakkedathu family failed. It was the members of Puthezhathu family who beat Ayyappan Nair because he supported Kizhakkedathu and sacked him to Tenkasi. Unni then tells Rajan that he would go to pacify the two quarrelling families.

Then, Unni and Vadivelu reach Krishnapuram, but suddenly they find Kalidas at Kizhakkedathu tharavadu and is shocked to hear that he has been appointed as the karyasthan of Kizhakkedathu tharavadu. Kalidas had reached there the previous night, and Krishna Warrier, who mistook him as the karyasthan whom Ayyappan Nair told, appointed him. Kalidas has a plan to steal an idol of Lord [[Krishna]] from Kizhakkedathu tharavadu, and he traps Unni and Vadivelu by handing the idol to them. Krishna Warrier later comes and unknowing that Unni is his grandson, calls his workers and beat Unni and Vadivelu. Later, they reach Puthezhathu tharavadu and get job as karyasthan (manager) and watchman respectively. The plan is approved by Sankaran Nair soon, and Kumaran, the former karyasthan, is declassified as an out-worker.

Unni later tries to solve conflicts between the two families. It is during this time that the female lead, Sreebala enters. Vadivelu first flirts with her, but after hearing that she is also a member of Puthezhath family, he allows her to enter the home. Unni also interferes in Sreebala's college dance, changing the tune of her dance song. She later dances for the same tune. On the same day, she is harassed by Anand, the son of Kizhakkedathu Sreedharan, a businessman. Krishnanunni saves her, but lies that it was Anand's father who saved her. Later, the stolen idol of Lord Krishna is found in a gravel, near the paddy fields of both families.

Soon Krishnanunni begins his mission to unite the two families, his mission becomes a great success and it soon culminates in a marriage proposal between Anandh and Sreedevi, the sister ot Sreebala, but Sreedevi confess to Krishnanunni that she is in love with a serial actor named Aby George, who is a [[Christians|Christian]], and would end her life is she is forced into marrying Anand. Krishnanunni and Sreebala helps Sreedevi to elope with her boyfriend which creates further trouble in the family, and after knowing that Krishnanunni is Rajan's son, the Puthezhathu and Kizhakeddathu families break ties once again, but this time, Kizhakedathu family support Krishnanunni and welcomes Rajan back home.

The rift between the families is cleared when Krishnanunni finds out that Rajan's old friend Susheelan and his driver Gopalan were responsible for Saraswathi's death, and it was a planned murder. Both the families unite once again for killing Susheelan and Sreebala and Krishnanunni get married.

== Plot==
The movie tells the story of a village called Chembattunadu in [[Palakkad district]] of Kerala, which is popular as Chattambinadu for the presence of several goons and hooligans. According to retired goons Chenkeeri Madhavan ([[T. G. Ravi]]) and Vadival Vasu ([[Janardhanan (actor)|Janardanan]]), it was the severe animosity between Mallanchira and Kattappilly families that has caused the arrival of several goons to the land, including them, which made Chattambinadu notorious. The film begins with Mallanchira Chandramohan's ([[Manoj K. Jayan]]) plan to sell off his mansion, to pay up his heavy debts. But Kattappilly Nagendran ([[Siddique (actor)|Siddique]]), plays all ways to stop the sale. The local police inspector (Saju kodiyan) informs Chandramohan about Virendra Mallaya ([[Mammootty]]), a popular rich man with strong criminal background, who also has strong passion in real estate. Chandramohan approaches Mallayya, who refuses to take up the mansion in the beginning. But upon the request from Dr.Lakshmi ([[Meenakshi (actress)|Meenakshi]]), his friend, who also hails from Chattambinadu, he decides to buy the property, inviting strong opposition from Nagendran. Mallayya, who speaks Malayalam with strong [[Kannada]] accent, arrives at Chattambinadu along with Murukan ([[Vinu Mohan]]), his secretary, who is also more like his brother. At Chattambinadu, he comes across Vadival Vasu and his family consisting of daughters Gowri ([[Raai Laxmi]]) and Meenakshi([[Mythili]]). To create a rift among the villagers and Mallaya, under the instruction, Dashamoolam Damu ([[Suraj Venjarammood]]), a foolish assistant of Nagendran, on one night steals the lorry of Mallayya and drives it into the house of Vasu, demolishing it. However Mallayya promises to repair the house with his own money. Murugan, who within this time had developed a soft feeling towards Meenakshi, takes them along with Maakri Gopalan ([[Salim Kumar]]) to Mallayya's house. Dr. Lakshmi on her day of arrival at Chattambinadu on vacation comes to know from her brother that Nagendran has decided to marry her, without the approval of her parents. Shocked Lakshmi even witnesses Nagendran violently thrashing her fiancé, making him flee. Lakshmi explains her condition to Mallayya, who promises her all help. Gowri, who witnesses their conversation mistakes them of being in love. She gets jealous as she had within this time fell in love with him. Chandramohan, on a casual talk, tells Mallayya, about Veeru, his servant boy, who had once attacked his father Mallanchira Unnithan ([[Vijayaraghavan (actor)|Vijayaraghavan]]) and ran away with all his hard earned money. Chandramohan also adds that his only aim in life is to find out Veeru and avenge him by killing him for the crime done to his father. Veerendra Mallaya, on hearing this story is really shocked as he is none other than Veeru, who had once ran away. Chandramohan, on understanding the relation between Meenakshi and Murugan, approaches Mallayya to get them married. Also Vasu wants Mallayya to marry Gowri, his elder daughter. One night Mallayya reveals his story to Vasu, whom he had assaulted with sword in a bid to escape years back. Unnithan had got Veeru, a Kannadiga [[street urchin]], who understood not a single world in [[Malayalam]]. Unnithan and his family took care of him well and treated him as their own son. One day, in middle of a trip, Unnithan gets into an argument with Kattapilly Kuruppu, who tries to snatch the suitcase consisting of a huge amount of money. In an attempt to save Unnithan Veeru attacks Kuruppu and on the advice of Unnithan, runs away with the bag. But on hearing the cry of Unnithan, he comes back to see that Unnithan is severely wounded as attacked by Kattapilly Nagendran, son of Kuruppu. Kuruppu, then calls up people and tells them that it is Veeru who had killed Unithan, making him run for life. In an attempt to save himself, he assaults Vasu and jumps into river. The police inspector ([[Sai Kumar (Malayalam actor)|Sai Kumar]]), who arrests him after a couple of days interrogates in [[Malayalam]], and Veeru, who knows not a single word in Malayalam is confused, where by accepts his charges. But on realising that he is framed, he escapes from police. He also adds that it is Kattappilly Kuruppu, who is behind the crime. Mallaya is also shocked to find Unnithan at the house of Chandramohan, who is alive, but now paralysed, who also had lost the ability to speak after the incident.

Nagendran, at the meantime, has gone forward with his plan to marry Lakshmi, but is saved by Mallaya, who gets her married to her fiancé. Mallaya is shocked to see the old police inspector, who is now the father of the husband of Laksmi. He shows his willingness to help Mallayya to reveal the truth to Chandramohan, but is killed by Nagendran on the same night. The people of Chattambinadu, within this time recognises who Mallayya is and is waiting for his arrival to get him killed. Nagendran expands his net and gets the crowd gather at the spot where Mallayya arrives. The rest of the story is how Mallayya succeeds in proving his innocence and get Nagendran killed by the public.

==Plot==
Azhagappan a successful hotelier and father of four small children has lost his wife (whose face is not shown in the photo) in an accident. College student Swapna plays pranks on him and also falls in love with him, but Azhagappan refuses her love considering the age difference between them. After passing matriculation exam, Azhagappan enrolls in a tutorial centre where his teacher Kanmani is smitten by him, but Azhagappan is not interested in her. Classical dancer Priya Ranjan and Azhagappan though, fall in love. After egos and differences crop up between them, Driver Santhanam blurts out the truth that the four children are the orphans adopted by him. In the end, Swapna understands the situation and would love to call him as "Daddy". With the help of Kanmani and Swapna, the four children devise a plan and play mediator between Azhagan and Priya by making them speak on the phone. In the end, both reveal their love through the phone and get united in the end.
