[[Salgaocar S.C.|Salgaocar]] were the [[2011 Indian Federation Cup Final|defending]] champions, having beaten [[East Bengal F.C.|East Bengal]] 3–1 in the [[2011 Indian Federation Cup|2011]] Final.
