From January to October 2022, excessive rainfall and widespread [[monsoon]] [[flood]]ing occurred in the [[South Asia]]n countries of [[Afghanistan]], [[Bangladesh]], [[India]], [[Nepal]], [[Pakistan]], and [[Sri Lanka]].
