==Biography==

Abaidullah Khan was born in 1940 in Kashmir, now part of [[India]] and [[Pakistan]], and was [[Commissioned officer|commissioned]] in the Navy in 1958 as [[Midshipman]] with [[Service number|S/No.]] PN. 775 in the [[Pakistan Navy#Branches|Executive Branch]].{{rp|447}}<ref name="The Gazette of Pakistan">{{cite book |title=The Gazette of Pakistan |date=1980 |url=https://books.google.com/books?id=98pPAQAAMAAJ&q=775 |access-date=1 August 2018 |language=en|author1=Pakistan }}</ref> He was of the [[Pathans of Kashmir|Kashmiri Pathan]] descent who [[Orphan|lost both of his parents]] at the age of nine during the [[Partition of India|Indian partition]] and the [[Indo-Pakistani war of 1947|first war]] with India in 1947, and was cared in the foster home.<ref name="Defence Journal, Maj.
