In the early Seventies, he started working closely with [[Jayaprakash Narayan]] and was involved with the [[Bihar Movement|Bihar Andolan]]. After the success of [[Bihar Movement#Total Revolution|Total Revolution]], he turned his attention to education and organized the &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Earn and Learn&amp;#039;&amp;#039; movement in Khadigram and thirty neighboring villages.&amp;lt;ref name=&amp;quot;Acharya Ramamurti (1913-2010)&amp;quot; /&amp;gt; In 1989, when [[V.
