Mishra was born in Banveer Pur village in [[Lakhimpur Kheri district]]. He attended the [[Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University]] and attained Bachelor of Science & [[Bachelor of Laws]] degrees.<ref name="Candidate affidavit"/><ref name="Member Profile"/>

==Political career==
Mishra has been an [[Member of Parliament (India)|MP]] for one term. He represented the [[Kheri (Lok Sabha constituency)|Kheri]] constituency and is a member of the [[Bharatiya Janata Party]] political party. In September 2014, he was appointed as a Member of the Standing Committee on Rural Development. In 2012, Mishra was elected as [[Member of the Legislative Assembly (India)|MLA]] in the [[16th Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh|16th Legislative Assembly]] from [[Nighasan (Assembly constituency)|Nighasan]].<ref name="Member Profile"/><ref name="Member Lok Sabha Profile"/><ref name="Candidate affidavit"/>
