When Nihang Singhs moved out of [[Punjab]] after fighting with [[Patiala]] Ruler and [[British Empire|British]], they started moving towards Nanded. Ala Singh (not to be confused with [[Ala Singh|baba Ala Singh]]) a hazur sahib pujari (priest) attacked Prahlad Singu.
