1928 {{endash}} 2001),&amp;lt;ref&amp;gt;https://core.ac.uk/download/pdf/14947345.pdf&amp;lt;/ref&amp;gt; was a [[Kashmiri language|Kashmiri]] novelist, playwright and short story writer, who made significant contribution to the development of modern [[Kashmiri literature]]. Born in [[Srinagar]], [[Jammu and Kashmir (princely state)|Jammu and Kashmir]], his novel, &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Dod Dag&amp;#039;&amp;#039; is considered as the first novel written and published in Kashmiri. His early writing were in Urdu. &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Sath Sangar&amp;#039;&amp;#039; and &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Sonzal&amp;#039;&amp;#039; are his collection of short stories. He also wrote some plays. The depiction of human nature and handling of human nature are the main features of his writings.
