This town is noted for its religious integration, where a Ganapathy temple in Narayanapuram street, a mosque (Amaravila Juma Masjid), and a church (CSI Church) stand near to one another. This village has a post office, village office, sub-registrar office, Akshaya e-center, and an excise office. Situated on the banks of the [[Neyyar River]], this village has a large area of cultivated land including paddy and plantains. The river Neyyar makes this land more fertile. A government tile factory is also located in this village.&lt;br /&gt;

&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Maha Ganapathy (Ganesh) Temple in Narayanapuram street is a famous worship place where people from the different parts of Kerala come for worship. Ganapathy shrine with the left sided (curled) trunk is the uniqueness of  this temple which cannot be found in any other Ganesh temple in Kerala. There is a belief among the people that the Ganesh shrine having its trunk curled towards left side has a  tremendous power to remove obstacles.&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&lt;br /&gt;

&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Deveswaram Mahadewar Temple is one of the major worship places in Amaravila. The temple is about 1000 years old and is now under Travancore Devaswom board. People from different places worship the deity Lord Shiva here. The upadevas are Vigneshvara and Nagaraja. The temple is situated near the sub-registrar office in Amaravila.&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&lt;br /&gt;

Amaravila CSI church is one of the major attractions of this place. It started as a small congregation in 1810, and currently it is the largest CSI church in Kerala, with three services (two in [[Malayalam]] and one in English). It was modified in 1895. The new bell-tower of the church has been inaugurated on 7 March 2010. The church has a shopping complex, a community hall and a school from Kindergarten to Plus Two. The church conducts a yearly convention which attracts a huge mass of people from south of Kerala and [[Tamil Nadu]].&lt;br /&gt;

He became the Minister for Transport and Devaswom of the Government of Kerala by defeating [[V.
