== Early life and education ==

Her physical education teacher, Anil Kandwal, introduced her to para athletics and she took part in the Uttarakhand State Para Championship. She is doing her under graduation studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.<ref name=":0" />

== Career ==
Rawat won two gold medals in her first event at the Uttarakhand State Para Athletics Championships where she took part in 100m and 200m run.<ref name=":0" /> Later, she shifted to throws.
