In films, Anandsami had a career breakthrough with appearances in &amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[Lens (film)|Lens]]&amp;#039;&amp;#039; (2016) and &amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[Odu Raja Odu]]&amp;#039;&amp;#039; (2018).&lt;br /&gt;

In 2001, Anandsami was a part of the Indian Tamil remake of the Hindi television series &amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi]]&amp;#039;&amp;#039;. He appeared in ten episodes, and has since noted that being a part of the show prompted to become more professional with his approach to acting. Anandsami was also a part of the trio that performs &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Kira Kozhambu&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, a play based on writer Ki Rajanarayanan&amp;#039;s folk tales. He acted in the play with [[Ravindra Vijay]] and Kalieaswari Srinivasan in [[Coimbatore]], and reenacted the same play with [[Maya S.
