Sinha finished his schooling from [[Don Bosco School, Park Circus|Don Bosco Park Circus, Kolkata]]. He obtained his B.Sc. From [[Jadavpur University]], Kolkata in 1999, and MA, [[Part III of the Mathematical Tripos|CASM]] and PhD from [[University of Cambridge]]. Sinha ranked first in B.Sc. and won the [[Mayhew Prize|Mayhew prize]] for the part III mathematics degree in [[University of Cambridge]]. His PhD advisor was Professor [[Michael Green (physicist)|Michael Green]]. He is a member of the Kandi Raj family and is the son of late [[Atish Chandra Sinha]].&lt;br /&gt;
