&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Anusha Rizvi&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; (born 13 March 1978) is an Indian film director and screenwriter.&lt;br /&gt;
Formerly a journalist, Anusha&amp;#039;s directorial debut, &amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[Peepli Live]]&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival 2010 in the World Competition Section.&amp;lt;ref&amp;gt;{{cite web|url=http://www.indianexpress.com/news/peepli-live-becomes-best-first-film-at-durban-fest/655486/|title=Peepli Live becomes best first film at Durban fest|date=2010-08-03|publisher=Indian Express|accessdate=2013-11-07}}&amp;lt;/ref&amp;gt; It was the first Indian film to be accepted in the 25 years of the festival’s existence. The film was later nominated as India&amp;#039;s official entry to the 83rd Academy awards. She also directed a National Geographic documentary &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Hijack IC-814&amp;#039;&amp;#039; and two BBC documentaries &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Amul&amp;#039;&amp;#039; and &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Khadi&amp;#039;&amp;#039;.  Anusha is currently developing a series for leading Indian platform, [[Hotstar]].&lt;br /&gt;

Anusha Rizvi was a journalist before venturing into film direction.
