The production was announced by filmmaker [[Gautham Menon]] by posting a short promo video on social media. The film is titled as ''Arasiyalla Idhellam Saadharnamappa'', a line of dialogue from ''[[Suriyan]]'' (1992). The film will be directed by Avinash Hariharan, and produced by Auraa Cinemas's which is their first production venture. Veera Bahu will play the male lead.
