==Directive Principles==&lt;br /&gt;

==Purpose ==&lt;br /&gt;

== Petitions filed==&lt;br /&gt;
The article 48 was challenged in the [[Supreme Court of India]] by [[butcher]]s, [[tanning (leather)|tanners]], gut [[merchant]]s, curers and cattle dealers.
