'''Ashok Kumar Gupta''' (Hindi: अशोक कुमार गुप्ता) (born 26 October 1957) is a retired Indian civil servant belonging to 1981 batch of [[Indian Administrative Service]]. He served as the [[Chairperson]] of the [[Competition Commission of India]] and prior to that he was the [[Secretary]] to the [[Government of India]] in the Department of [[Defense (military)|Defence]] Production; CMD, [[Tamil Nadu]] Cements; Special Secretary (Finance), Government of [[Tamil Nadu]]; and District Magistrate, Villupuram (Tamil Nadu). Gupta has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Delhi University. Subsequently, he received a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) from Syracuse University (USA).
