It is located {{convert|6.4|km}} away from postal head office Ladhana Jhikka, {{convert|8.2|km}} from [[Banga, India|Banga]], {{convert|22|km}} from district headquarter Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar and {{convert|112|km}} from state capital [[Chandigarh]]. == Demography ==
As of 2011, Atari has a total number of 129 houses and population of 628 of which 316 include are males while 312 are females according to the report published by [[2011 Census of India|Census India in 2011]]. The [[Literacy|literacy rate]] of Atari is 72.92%, lower than the state average of 85.26%. The population of children under the age of 6 years is 58 which is 9.24% of total population of Atari, and [[child sex ratio]] is approximately 871 as compared to Punjab state average of 846.<ref name=census /><ref>{{cite web|url=http://pib.nic.in/newsite/PrintRelease.aspx?relid=103437|title=Child Sex Ratio in India (2001-2011)|work=pib.nic.in}}</ref>
