His collection of poems with the same name ''Dashapadi'' (दशपदी) received a ''[[Sahitya Akademi Award]]'' in 1977. He was elected for [[List of Sahitya Akademi fellows|Sahitya Akademi Fellowship]] in 1979.<br />
