He directed &amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[Matichya Chuli]]&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, &amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[De Dhakka]]&amp;#039;&amp;#039; and &amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[Shahanpan Dega Deva]]&amp;#039;&amp;#039;. Kale was born in [[Girgaon]], Mumbai. During his college days he was drawn towards experimental theater. He acted in several [[Marathi language|Marathi]] and English plays like &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Katha Mastaramachi&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Farsh- Babulchya Premacha&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Anamay&amp;#039;&amp;#039; and &amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[Planchet]]&amp;#039;&amp;#039;. He won several awards for his portrayal with Devendra Pem.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Upon the death of his father, he took up his father&amp;#039;s position at [[The Oriental Insurance Company]]. An associate at Oriental offered for him to sing professionally, where he shared the stage with [[Mahendra Kapoor]] and [[Johnny Lever]]. During this time, Atul was offered an English version of a commercial play called &amp;#039;&amp;#039;All the Best&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, directed by his friend Devendra Pem. He later received a call from [[Mahesh Manjrekar]], which led to an acting career.&lt;br /&gt;

Atul Kale worked in commercial plays including &amp;#039;&amp;#039;All the Best&amp;#039;&amp;#039; with [[Mahesh Manjrekar]] and Devendra Pem, &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Oh No Not Again&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Monkey Business&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Carry On Heaven&amp;#039;&amp;#039; and &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Funny Thing Called Love&amp;#039;&amp;#039; with Bharat Dabholkar.&lt;br /&gt;

He has appeared in international commercials including for [[VISA (credit card)|Visa card]] with [[Richard Gere]], [[The Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation|HSBC Bank]] and Ashoka Foods. He has sung in Marathi and Hindi films including &amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[Vaastav: The Reality|Vaastav]]&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, &amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rehta Hain|Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rehta Hai]]&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, &amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[Tera Mera Saath Rahen|Tera Mera Saath Rahe]]&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Pyar Kiya Nahi Jata Hai&amp;#039;&amp;#039; and &amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[Astitva]]&amp;#039;&amp;#039;. He won the [[Maharashtra Times]] Sanman Award for his heart wrenching number in &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Astitva&amp;#039;&amp;#039;. Atul has also sung in an English film directed by Bharat Dabholkar. When the Marathi film industry was running through troubled times, Atul Kale co-directed with Sudesh Manjrekar the Marathi film &amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[De Dhakka]]&amp;#039;&amp;#039;. He later collaborated with [[Manjrekar]] on the film &amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[Matichya Chuli|Mathichya Chuli]]&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, followed by &amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[Shahanpan Dega Deva]]&amp;#039;&amp;#039;. Kale released his first independent film &amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[Teecha Baap Tyacha Baap]]&amp;#039;&amp;#039; with DAR Motion Pictures, followed by &amp;#039;Asa Mee Ashi Tee&amp;#039;, &amp;#039;[[Balkadu]]&amp;#039; &amp;amp; &amp;#039;[[Sandook]]&amp;#039;.&lt;br /&gt;
