It is affiliated to [[Vidya Bharati|Sikshya Vikash Samiti]], Odisha and recognized by the government of Odisha.<br />

The school was founded in 1996 on the occasion of Independence Day (15 August 1996) with 16 students in the first batch. Mr Dushashan Mohanta, the founder, aimed to provide quality education to the students of [[Mayurbhanj district|Mayurbhanj]] and nearby districts.<br />

Only male students who reside inside the campus are allowed to study there. [[Guru|Gurujis]] also reside in the same campus and provide guidance during morning and evening hours.
