It is under the care of the Kapilesvara Temple Trust Board.<br /> <br /> The well was built in the 14th century. There is a small [[Compound (enclosure)|compound wall]] around the well, measuring 7 m long by 4.5 m wide and 2.6 sq m in area. On the north-west corner of the compound wall there is a modern [[shrine]] to the [[goddess]] Hatabasini. On the western wall of the well there are two niches, one of which enshrines a four-armed Baraha, and the other a broken pedestal.
