==Plot==&lt;br /&gt;
Bhavna ([[Nanda (actress)|Nanda]]) is the daughter of a sincere and worthy Postmaster Keshav Prasad ([[Nazir Hussain]]). She is grown up along with her cousins Anil &amp;amp; Anita ([[Aruna Irani]]). Once, on her college excursion, Bhavna falls for an Army officer Lieutenant Amar Verma ([[Jeetendra]]). Unfortunately, they get separated and unable to find each other. Thereafter, Keshav Prasad is transferred to Shimla where he fixes an alliance for Anita. With the support of his close friend Dayal ([[Om Prakash]]), a postman, he makes all arrangements. On the other side, Professor Dindayal Verma ([[Ulhas]]), the tutor of Bhavna wants to wedlock her with his son who is none other than Amar. Keshav Prasad accepts the proposal when Amar &amp;amp; Bhavna has to forcibly face one another. But being aware of reality their happiness summits. During that time, a woman hurriedly approaches, Keshav Prasad, to withdraw money from the post office as her husband is in serious condition. Out of humanitarian consideration, first-time he violates the rules but caught and sentenced. Right now, Bhavna takes responsibility and faces several hardships. Anyhow, with the help of Amar she succeeds in performing the wedding of Anita and graduating Anil. At present, the Indian army declares an emergency. So, Amar pauses the wedding and leaves to the battlefield. During that time, Anil marries his love interest Aarti ([[Padma Khanna]]), one that highly humiliates Bhavna. Furthermore, she collapses knowing the death news of Amar on the battlefield. After some time, Dindayal forces her to get marries which she accepts. Here as flabbergast, Amar returns alive and Keshav Prasad is acquitted. At last, Anil &amp;amp; Aarti also plead pardon. Finally, the movie ends on a happy note with the marriage of Amar &amp;amp; Bhavna.&lt;br /&gt;
