The Bahuti Falls is an example of a nick point caused by rejuvenation. Knick point, also called a nick point or simply nick, represents breaks in slopes in the longitudinal profile of a river caused by rejuvenation. The break in channel gradient allows water to fall vertically giving rise to a waterfall.<ref>{{cite book|url = https://books.google.com/books?id=Iz_m9dlXEUYC&q=Odda+Falls&pg=PA110 | title = Encyclopedia of nature of geography | work= p. 110 | last= A.Z.Bukhari | year = 2005 | isbn = 9788126124435 | accessdate = 2010-07-11 }}</ref>
