The film was reported to be a family story and was shot at the [[Jayalakshmi Vilas]] mansion in the [[Manasagangotri]] campus of the [[University of Mysore]]. As of April 2002, filming took place for a month with shoots spanning from morning to evening, and [[Hamsalekha]] had composed five of the songs.
