&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Balaram Hazarika&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; (alias &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Nigona Shikari&amp;#039;&amp;#039;) was a noted [[Assam]]ese animal tracker who showed [[Mary Victoria Leiter|Lady Curzon]] around [[History of Kaziranga National Park|Kaziranga]] and impressed upon her his urgency of [[wildlife conservation]].&amp;lt;ref&amp;gt;{{cite web|url=http://www.goimonitor.com/story/uneasy-lies-head-horn |title=Uneasy lies the head with the horn  |website=GoI Monitor |date=12 January 2012 |accessdate=4 May 2013}}&amp;lt;/ref&amp;gt; Concerned about the dwindling numbers of [[rhinoceros]], she asked her husband, [[Lord Curzon]] the [[Viceroy of India]] to take necessary political action to save the rhinoceros.&lt;br /&gt;
