==Background==<br />
Khardekar was born in [[Bombay Presidency]], [[British India]] on 1 August 1903. He was educated from the [[University of Bombay]] and [[Cambridge University]] with a degree in law. Khardekar was member of Constituent assembly representing Bombay States.
