==Political career==
Banshi Singh has been a [[Member of the Legislative Assembly (India)|MLA]] for one term. He represented the [[Khurja (Assembly constituency)|Khurja]] constituency and is a member of the [[Indian National Congress]] political party.<ref name="Candidate affidavit"/><ref name="Member Profile"/>

In 2019, he got [[Lok Sabha|Loksabha]] ticket by [[Indian National Congress]] from [[Bulandshahr (Lok Sabha constituency)|Bulandashahar (Lok Sabha constituency)]], he contested against [[Bhola Singh (Uttar Pradesh politician)|Bhola Singh]] (Current MP of [[Bulandshahr (Lok Sabha constituency)|Bulandashahar]]).
