Nagar Township)]], [[Belebathan]], [[Murgathaul]], [[Amkula]], [[Egara, Paschim Bardhaman|Egara]], [[Sahebganj, Paschim Bardhaman|Sahebganj]], [[Raghunathchak]] and [[Ballavpur]] form a cluster of census towns on the western and southern side of [[Raniganj]]. According to the [[2011 Census of India]], Banshra had a total population of 5,703 of which 3,001 (53%) were males and 2,702 (47%) were females. Population in the age range 0–6 years was 731.
