He later became a senior editor of [[Film Companion]]. Rangan won the [[National Film Award for Best Film Critic]] in 2006. Before joining &amp;#039;&amp;#039;The Hindu&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, Rangan wrote for &amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[The New Indian Express]]&amp;#039;&amp;#039;.
