It is under the administrative control of the [[Moradabad railway division|Moradabad Division]] of the [[Northern Railway zone]] of the [[Indian Railways]].

The station consists of three platforms, and is located in village Chanehti, near the southern fringes of [[Bareilly Cantt]] at a distance of {{convert|3|km|mi}} from [[Bareilly Junction railway station|Bareilly Junction]] and {{convert|5|km|mi}} from [[Bareilly City railway station|Bareilly city]].<ref>{{cite web| url=https://indiarailinfo.com/station/map/bareilly-city-bc/3696| title=BRYC/Bareilly Cantt.
