The [[yatra]] went through all the districts of Karnataka before culminating at [[Udupi]]. Devaru was arrested in the process when he and his supporters tried to enter Udupi. The agitation by him prompted the Government of [[Karnataka]] to take over the temple of Udupi Sri [[Krishna]].<br />
