The amazing [[Indian rock python|rock python]] is the greatest attraction of the forest.

As of the 1995 census, it had 297 chital deer.<ref name="Nadia" />

Among the trees found within the sanctuary are [[Shorea robusta|shal]], [[teak]], [[Terminalia arjuna|arjun]], [[Dalbergia sissoo|Indian rosewood]], and [[bamboo]].<ref name="WT" />
