Bhavanipuram, located on the banks of the [[Krishna River]], was a residential area three decades ago. With development of infrastructure over the years, it has started attracting commercial activity. It has an estimated population of 30,000. With the construction of the Durga flyover, traffic movement in Bhavaipuram has eased considerably.
