The movie&amp;#039;s story is based on [[Alexandre Dumas]]&amp;#039;s novel &amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[The Count of Monte Cristo]]&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, which in turn was based on a Goan, [[Abbé Faria|Abbe Faria]].&lt;br /&gt;

The film has Ivo Almeida Coutinho and Helen Pereira in the main lead and a star cast consisting of [[C. The music for the film was provided by the producer Chris Perry, who had earlier composed music for [[Bollywood|Bollywood films]]. Chris Perry wrote lyrics for and composed all the songs, except for the traditional [[dulpod]]s.&lt;br /&gt;

[[Asha Bhosle]] sang the title song of the movie &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Bhuierantlo Munis&amp;#039;&amp;#039;. Another immortal number from the movie was &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Nokre&amp;#039;&amp;#039; sung by Adolf. There were medley of dulpods including the popular &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Undrea Mhojea Mama&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Moddgonvam Toviaguere&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Combea Sadari&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Chup Chup&amp;#039;&amp;#039; sung by Adolf and Mabel, &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Adeus&amp;#039;&amp;#039; sung by Adolf were other memorable numbers.&lt;br /&gt;

In versions apart from the movie, &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Combea Sadari&amp;#039;&amp;#039; was sung by [[Mohammad Rafi]], and &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Nokre&amp;#039;&amp;#039; and &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Adeus&amp;#039;&amp;#039; were sung by [[Lorna Cordeiro|Lorna]].&lt;br /&gt;
