According to the &amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[Vishnu Purana]]&amp;#039;&amp;#039; and the &amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[Bhagavata Purana]]&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, Brihadbala is a [[Genealogy of Rama|descendant of Rama]] on [[Kusha (Ramayana)|Kusha]]&amp;#039;s side, and belongs to the [[Solar dynasty|Suryavamsha]] (Solar dynasty). The &amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[Mahabharata]]&amp;#039;&amp;#039; describes Brihadbala as the ruler of [[Kosala Kingdom|Kingdom of Kosala]]. He was subjugated by [[Bhima]] during the [[Rajasuya|Rajasuya sacrifice]].
