After completion of his studies he devoted all his time and energy in pursuing Visual Art in the country and received several awards and honors at the national and international level.<br />

He was convenor of Indo-Japan and Indo-France Art exhibitions organized in Orissa, and Professor at B.K College of Art and Craft till 2010. He guided the scholars after receiving a national scholarship.{{clarify|date=May 2012}} He was appointed as a Visualiser for national monuments in Orissa. Lastly, he joined Orissa State Lalit Kala Akademi as secretary.<br />
