&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Chrispus Livingstone&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; (born 2 January 1949), often referred as &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Livi&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, is an Indian research scientist, botanist, educator and multifaceted person. His genuine interest in the study of [[flowering plant]]s resulted in the publication of book on &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Flowering plants of [[City of Madras|Madras City]] and its immediate neighbourhood&amp;#039;&amp;#039; in 1994. He successfully guided 30 [[M. Phil]]. Scholars and 11 [[Ph.D.]] scholars. He has published number of articles both in national and international repute. He also published several books. Two newly discovered plants of the [[Andaman and Nicobar Islands]], &amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[Aidia livingstonii]]&amp;#039;&amp;#039; Karthig et al. and &amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[Liparis livingstonii]]&amp;#039;&amp;#039; Jayanthi et al. are named in honour of Livingstone for his contributions to [[plant taxonomy]]. A species of [[whitefly]] namely &amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[Aleurocanthus]] livingstonii&amp;#039;&amp;#039; is also named after him.
