&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Chandra Pal Tara Singh Bains&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; {{post nominals|JP}} (died  5 June 1983) was an [[Indo-Fijians|Indo-Fijian]] politician. He  served in the [[Legislative Council of Fiji|Legislative Council]] as a nominated member from 1963 to 1966.&lt;br /&gt;

==Biography==&lt;br /&gt;
Born in [[Nausori]], Singh was educated at Columbus School in [[Suva]].&amp;lt;ref name=PIM&amp;gt;[https://nla.gov.au/nla.obj-339780000/view?partId=nla.obj-339822389#page/n72/mode/1up Chandra Pal Singh] &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Pacific Islands Monthly&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, August 1983, pp73–74&amp;lt;/ref&amp;gt; He began working at Suva Motors in 1940, later becoming a dairy farmer and owning a bus company and sawmill.&amp;lt;ref name=PIM/&amp;gt; He was also a soccer administrator and established [[Navua F.C.|Navua FC]].&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Following the [[1963 Fijian general election|1963 elections]] he was appointed to the Legislative Council as a nominated member. In 1964 he was appointed to the board of the [[Fiji Broadcasting Corporation]].&amp;lt;ref name=PIM/&amp;gt; In 1965 he was part of the Fijian constitutional conference in London.&amp;lt;ref name=PIM/&amp;gt; He contested the Indo-Fijian Central [[national constituencies|cross-voting seat]] in [[1966 Fijian general election|1966 general elections]] as an independent, but finished third behind the candidates of the [[Alliance Party (Fiji)|Alliance Party]] and [[Federation Party]].&lt;br /&gt;

He died in Suva in June 1983 at the age of 69.&amp;lt;ref name=PIM/&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
