He fostered his only son, [[C. P. Ramaswami Iyer|Sir C. P. Ramaswami Iyer]], in the family of [[C. V. Runganada Sastri]], betrothing him to [[C. V. Sundara Sastri]]'s daughter Seethamma, and apprenticing him to Sundara Sastri's son [[C. V. Kumaraswami Sastri|Sir C. V.
