== History ==
To improve connectivity and ease transportation to the [[Nava Raipur|new capital region]], the [[Government of Chhattisgarh|Chhattisgarh government]] proposed the construction of three railway stations along the Raipur–Abhanpur railway line. The railway route begins at [[Raipur Junction]] and passes through Mandir Hasaud, Udyog Nagar, CBD, [[Chhattisgarh Rajyotsava|Mela Sthal]] Kendri, and [[Abhanpur Junction railway station|Abhanpur Junction]].<ref name=":0" />
