The first case of the [[COVID-19 pandemic]] in India was reported on 30 January 2020, [[COVID-19 pandemic in mainland China|originating from China]]. Slowly, the pandemic spread to various states and union territories including the state of [[Tripura]]. The first case was recorded in this region on 6 April.<ref name="first case"/>

===Covishield===
