CRISIL, was the first credit rating agency in India, introduced in 1988 by the [[ICICI]] and [[Unit Trust of India|UTI]] jointly with share capital coming from [[State Bank of India|SBI]], [[Life Insurance Corporation of India|LIC]] and [[United India Insurance Company]].
