==History==
The '''Calcutta Women's Football League''' is the oldest [[women's football (soccer)|women's football]] league in [[India]]. It is based in the city of [[Kolkata]] (formerly Calcutta) in the state of [[West Bengal]]. In 2001, the big Kolkata football clubs [[East Bengal Club|East Bengal]] and [[Mohun Bagan Athletic Club|Mohun Bagan]] entered their women's teams into the competition. Later by 2003, they withdrew from the tournament.
