==Early life==
Chaudhary Chand Ram was born in [[Chamar]] family on 23 June 1923 in Kharhar, Rohtak at Punjab.<ref>{{Cite book|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=ZA9DAAAAYAAJ&q=chand+ram+haryana+chamar+caste|title=The Panjab Past and Present|date=1990|publisher=Department of Punjab Historical Studies, Punjabi University.|language=en}}</ref> He did his graduation from [[DAV College]], [[Lahore]] and Postgraduate in Economics. He was a champion of Dalit cause in Punjab and was a close associate of [[B. R. Ambedkar|Dr. B.R.
